Medicine, public health, and management
Dr. Azizullah Hamim is a medical doctor who also holds an MPH (Master of Public Health) and a PhD in Management, combining clinical training with public health expertise and formal management scholarship.
Two decades across organizations
He has worked for more than two decades with international organizations and national NGOs in a range of positions, including Medical Doctor, Medical Coordinator, Senior Technical Advisor, board member, and Technical and Program Manager.
Senior leadership and national coordination
In recent years he has held senior leadership and management positions, working closely with government ministries — particularly the Ministry of Public Health — as well as UN agencies and national and international organizations, and travelling to numerous provinces and districts of Afghanistan.
New approaches in health systems
Dr. Hamim initiated several new approaches to strengthen health system interventions in Afghanistan, including the Urban DOTS programme, the ECHO (Extended Community Healthcare Outcomes) platform, and CAD4TB (Computer-Aided Detection for TB).
Publications and volunteer service
He has published in national and international journals, notably through the Union Conferences on lung health, and has taken part in a range of volunteer activities alongside his professional work.
Role at Relief For All
As an Executive Board Member, Dr. Hamim guides the Foundation's health-related programming, technical standards, and partnerships with health authorities and agencies.
