Israrullah Shinwarie
"Healthy communities grow from healthy fields, honest data, and people who stay in the districts they serve."
Education across agriculture and health
Israrullah Shinwarie is a graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture at Nangarhar University who went on to complete a Nursing program and is finalizing his studies in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). This combination of agricultural science and clinical training gives him an unusually broad view of what community wellbeing actually requires.
Twelve years of field experience
Mr. Shinwarie brings more than twelve years of professional experience across agriculture, public health, and program supervision. He began as an Agriculture Officer with PHDP from 2012 to 2013, then served as District Supervisor for Haska Mina District in Nangarhar from April 2015 to March 2017, working directly with rural communities and local structures.
Public health and nutrition programs
From December 2018 to October 2020 he worked with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) as a TB Screener in Kabul, and most recently served with AYSO as a Nutrition Supervisor in Kabul from 2025 to 2026 — leading screening, counselling, and supervision activities for vulnerable families.
Agriculture leadership and health data
He also served two years with AREP (Afghanistan Rehabilitation and Education Program) as a Senior Agriculture Officer, and worked with Particip/KIT as a Provincial Officer and HMIS Data Collector from 2018 to 2025, strengthening health management information systems and provincial reporting quality.
